To be fair, though, the subject matter's fairly expansive, and not at all easy to comprehensively deal with in an article of the current assigned length. I'd say, look at this at a little primer, a brief glance at the mechanism that informs one's thoughts, rather than as a detailed commentary on the psychology of the mob and the illusion of choice. I've been debating putting it up here for the same reasons, actually. I wasn't entirely happy with it, but I let it slide because I had other deadline pressures. It turns out now that they've used it on the front page instead of inside. Oh well. Another day, another article, and all that.
